Hello everyone. It seems like we meet again in my second post. This time I would like to promote you all about lomography. So what lomography is? I bet many of you out there never heard about it before. First let me tell the history of lomography. It is start when two students in Vienna, Austria in the early 1990s discovered a small complex Russian camera which is known as Lomo Kompakt Automat and starts a new style of artistic photography in unusual way. It is not about perfection, sharpness and definition but it is all about how we defining life in the way we see it.
Basically, lomography is based on the photography which cameras are uses as the main device. But it is not the same as a normal camera like DSLR. The function and effect of this lomo is different. It is also not a digital device which uses film negative to snap a photo. The film that’s uses is different in every lomo camera. Both of the camera and the film are hard to find and that is the major problem for lomography industry to get well known in all over Malaysia. However, I think most people can afford to buy lomo camera because the price is not so expensive.
The lomography world has its own rule which is call as ‘10 Golden Rules’ that define their philosophy and approach towards photography. They are:
1. Take your camera everywhere you go
2. Use it any time
3. Lomography is not interference in your life, but part of it
4. Try the shot from the hip
5. Approach the objects of your lomographic desire as close as possible
6. Don’t think
7. Be fast
8. You don’t have to know beforehand what you captured on film
9. Afterwards either
10. Don’t worry about any rules
Lomo product begins with LC-A which is the most popular among the lomographers. Other than that are Diana+, colorsplash, fisheye, frogeye, supersampler, oktomat, litos and much more. Every lomo camera has its own affect that bring the beauty of image which is unpredictable, soft, vignette, multi image, and other normal flaws like distortion. Below, I will provide all of you with a few sample images of lomo camera and its affect.

The future of lomography is a bright one, judging from upcoming activities and the good mainstream attention that it gets. Even though I have not own any of this lomo camera yet, I know how interesting those lomo are. I hope one day I can own one of those or maybe make a full collection of lomo.
